10直柄安装在夹头上，以手指轻推測定子，使其偏心0.5mm以400-600/min的速度转动，使测定子于加工物端面想接触，点点的碰触移动，是测定子不在振动，宛如静止状态。再以微动进给碰触，测定子就会朝一方向滑移，这个滑移起点是所需求的基准位置。
不适合在卧式计备上使用。
